Today Liz van der laarse came into our class and answered all of our Questions.

Levi Griffin - Did you make up the characters names or are they real people? (Made the names up.)

Liam - Is it going to be a movie. (NO.)

 It sounds like there should be a second book. (Yes.)

Are you writing another? Cooper.N (Yes.)

Why did You call it cuz. ? Sam. (Because their cousins.)

Why did you chose to write ‘Cuz’? Cooper.W ( It poped in her mind.) 

 How old were you when you Started writing? Bella (50)

 Who did the cover? Sam. (The publisher people did.)

The wetlands

The day at the wetlands.

Today at the wetlands our class Totara and Nikau went down to the wetlands. First we had to walk down to the end of the road and cross.🚙🚛 First the Nikau girls went, then the boys, then Totara kids went across.

When we all got across we got into are groups and then went ti look at the traps to see if we caught anything. but there was no pests in the traps. but one of the groups had a dead rat beside it. 

When we had finished looking at the traps we all had to go to the fun tree and talk about what we were going to do next.

Then we had to grab all the trees and sticks and put them by the fun tree.

We are learning what rotational symmetry is.

We created colourful shapes that were rotated four times.

WHAT DOES ROTATIONAL SYMMETRY MEAN?

 A shape has rotational symmetry when it can be rotated and it still looks the same. The order of rotational symmetry of a shape is the number of times it can be rotated around a circle and still look the same.

Why pets are so important to me.

Hi my name is Leah, do you think you should love pets? Well I am going to tell you in my speech why pets are important to me.

First things first, pets provide you food like Hens give you eggs, (you could make Bacon and  Eggs for breakfast… who doesn't like Bacon and eggs?) Sheep are also useful because they can give you wool, (you could make a blanket or a jumper out of that.) And the last one is, Cows give you milk. You could make a cup of tea or use it for breakfast in Cereal. If you didn't have any of these animals you would have to go to the shop and pay for those things and waste Petrol and money, But if you had any of those pets you wouldn't have to pay for the eggs and milk. 

Furthermore, imagine your life without pets, wouldn't that be horrible? It would be so lonely Without them. If you had a pet and it died you would Miss cuddling them, Miss feeding it And miss loving it as well. So you should take care of your pets so it will live longer.  If you have a job make sure you save some money for your pets so that you can buy them things that they need and care for them properly.

Thirdly they clean up after you like when you spill something on the floor they come in, if you let them, and they lick  up your dinner so you don’t have to use power to use the Vacuum cleaner. When you have sheep like me, my mum throws our food scraps over the Fence and then our two dogs come and eat the food that didn't make it over and then come back for more. But I say “ no we have no more. “

I think pets help you stay healthy. When you are exercising your pets, you’re Walking with them, that means you're getting exercise at the same time. Playing with your pet is an enjoyable activity for both of you. 

My dad is very fit. Now I am going to tell you what pets give you Exercise, Lambs, dogs and horses.  A couple of days ago my dad went pig hunting with my two dogs. When he was finished pig hunting my dad came home with both of my dogs with Grazes. One of my dog's got two grazes. One by its mouth and one on its shoulder. The other dog got a ripe by its tail. It was a very deep one. My dad goes pig hunting for about four hours and and comes back like after dinner. Dad goes pig hunting sometimes at like five in the morning and wakes me up.  It is so Annoying.

When my dad goes pig hunting, sometimes our dogs get riped up and my Dad had to go to the vet and pay a lot of money to get them fixed Up. One time, one of our dogs called Lolly died from a pig because the huge pig got its teeth into his neck and killed him. When Lolly got Hurt, So much blood came out that he died. When dad Found lolly he was Lying on the ground. Then dad had to dig a big hole and put lolly in it.  This was very sad for my dad and my grandad.
